ΤΡΕΙΣ ΙΕΡΑΡΧΕΣ
Οι Τρεις Ιεράρχες, ο Μέγας Βασίλειος, ο Γρηγόριος ο Θεολόγος και ο Ιωάννης ο Χρυσόστομος, είναι τρεις από τις σημαντικότερες μορφές της Ορθόδοξης Εκκλησίας και θεωρούνται προστάτες των γραμμάτων, των μαθητών και των δασκάλων. Έζησαν τον 4ο αιώνα και ξεχώρισαν για τη βαθιά μόρφωση, τη σοφία, την πίστη και την αγάπη τους προς τον άνθρωπο. Συνδύασαν τον ελληνικό πολιτισμό με τη χριστιανική διδασκαλία και αφιέρωσαν τη ζωή τους στη βοήθεια των φτωχών και στην υπεράσπιση της αλήθειας. Ο Μέγας Βασίλειος ίδρυσε τη Βασιλειάδα και αγωνίστηκε για την κοινωνική προσφορά, ο Γρηγόριος ο Θεολόγος υπερασπίστηκε την Ορθοδοξία με τους λόγους και τα έργα του, ενώ ο Ιωάννης ο Χρυσόστομος διακρίθηκε για τη ρητορική του δεινότητα και τη φροντίδα των αδύναμων. Τα διδάγματά τους παραμένουν διαχρονικά.
Ο Μέγας Βασίλειος δίδαξε: «Όπως οι μέλισσες διαλέγουν από τα άνθη, έτσι κι εσείς να διαλέγετε απ’ αυτά που διαβάζετε.»
Ο Γρηγόριος ο Θεολόγος τόνισε: «Πιο πολύ πρέπει να θυμάσαι το Θεό, παρά να αναπνέεις.»
Ο Ιωάννης ο Χρυσόστομος υπογράμμισε: «Ο δάσκαλος πρέπει να διδάσκει όχι μόνο με λόγια αλλά και με έργα.»

THREE HIERARCHS
The Three Hierarchs—Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom—are three of the most important figures in the Orthodox Church and are considered the patron saints of education, students, and teachers. They lived in the 4th century and were distinguished by their profound learning, wisdom, faith, and love for humanity. They combined Greek culture with Christian teaching and dedicated their lives to helping the poor and defending the truth. Basil the Great founded the charitable institution known as the Basiliad and promoted social care; Gregory the Theologian defended Orthodoxy through his words and speeches; while John Chrysostom was renowned for his eloquence and his concern for the poor and vulnerable. Their teachings and works remain timeless.
St. Basil the Great taught: “Just as bees gather nectar from flowers, so too should you select what is useful and beneficial from what you read.”
Gregory the Theologian emphasized: “You should remember God more than you breathe.”
John Chrysostom stated: “A teacher must teach not only through words but also through deeds.”
